The FirstWord Empowerment Network

About Us

Who We Are

The FirstWord Empowerment Network is a social development intervention with specific focus on youths development and empowerment. It was born out of the passion of her founder, Segun Awolowo to see young people fulfil their potentials.  Having experienced a lot of deprivation while growing up, and with loads of obstacles he had to overcome to fulfil his dreams, he thought it necessary to create a platform to empower young people across Nigeria and beyond, starting with Osun State, with relevant skills and knowledge required for success in life.

Formerly known as Dynamic Hope International, The FirstWord Empowerment Network has over the years provided trainings and vocational skills programs for young people both in the rural and urban areas of Osun State.

Our focus is to reduce the level of unemployment, poverty and illiteracy among youths in communities across Nigeria and beyond.

Our primary target are young people between the ages of 15 and 35 who lives both in rural and urban communities. We recognize that their needs may be different based on education, experience and exposure. Our interventions puts all of these into consideration in developing programmes to meet their needs.
